Make Time for Your Own Success

Have you ever looked at the people around you and admired the drive, focus and efficacy with which they seem to approach their lives?  Have you wondered how they have been able to achieve such levels of organization and control, so that everything in their lives appears to be going the right way?

And have you wondered why, though you work hard, your struggles never seem to amount to anything?  You feel as though you're overwhelmed by your life, and don't have any time to do seek your true dreams and goals?

Unfortunately, this is quite a common feeling.  The fact is that the 24 hours we have in a day just don't stretch as far as they used to, and unless you've discovered a way to make time for the success you want in your life, it simply won't hand itself to you.

The trick to making sure that you have enough time for your own successes is to avoid procrastination at all costs.  Procrastination is what makes success most challenging to the majority of people.  The key is to keep things simple, and be careful what you take on in your life, and how you accomplish those tasks.

Keep the following tips in mind:

• Don't take on more than you can actually handle.  Prioritize the various elements of your life and get things done in order of importance.  Don't take on any more than you are able to balance in your life without overwhelming yourself.  As you better your ability to handle what you have, you'll be able to work in your own personal success time.
  
  
• Don't wait, just get it done.  If you ever catch yourself saying “I can just do this later on” then correct yourself and do the task straight away.  The sooner you do it, the sooner you'll get it done, and then it will be off your list and you can work on something else.
  
  
• Tackle the things that are causing you the most anxiety.  Remember to breathe and take it easy instead of rushing through your struggles.  The smoother you take it, the less painful it will be.


• Learn to expect reality, not the best or the worst.  Instead of aiming for perfectionism, seek what can realistically be done.  This will be very important to helping you to get by procrastination.  You won't be setting yourself up for disappointment.
