Did you know that absolutely nothing happened between September 3 and September 13, 1752? Not one thing. Nobody did anything. How? They days didn't exist. That was the year that a large segment of the world changed from the Julian Calendar to the more accurate Gregorian Calendar we use today. Since the Gregorian Calendar recognizes that there are 365 ¼ days every year (hence the need for a leap-year to keep the calendar accurate) the leaders realized that they should be much further ahead in the calendar than they were. Therefore, they skipped forward from September 2nd to September 14th. When you think on these lost days, try to remember that you should use every day you have. Don't let days go by as though they were deleted from your calendar.
